Encounter Confirmation

Part of growing up is asking questions about God and the world around us. Encounter Confirmation is a chance to explore Christianity with other students who may be facing the same questions and issues.

​

This is an opportunity for 7th and 8th grade students to grow in their faith and develop relationships with classmates and mentors.

Encounter meets at Sugar River United Methodist Church weekly. We share a meal together, play games, and have activities and discussions surrounding a different topic each week. There are also 2 retreats each year for students & mentors. The curriculum includes multimedia notebooks for each student and weekly videos that help students with varied interests and learning styles engage more deeply in the Christian faith and the United Methodist Church.
